Travis is short for Travelling In Style… but style comes in many shapes and forms, and style doesn’t always have to equate to expensive.

I’ve been fortunate to visit many amazing places in the world, for both business and pleasure.  I cherish the opportunity to lose myself in a new city, wandering through diverse neighbourhoods, stopping regularly for sustenance – whether it be coffee, a morning snack, a lovely lunch, a glass of wine (or two), or a truly decadent dinner.  Indeed, food markets and wine bars are two of my favourite haunts.

After many requests for tips, I started compiling lists after each trip, these made it easy to share my recommendations with family and friends ahead of their own trips, and eventually the lists started getting shared with friends of friends. Over time, the lists have grown and grown, New York for instance now consists of over 200 recommendations!  Hence Travis was born, as an easy reference site for my choices of the very best of the best in each city.
